Ballyhoo's Alive album sleeve is, I agree, one of the worst ever. The lads themselves were appalled when they saw it. However, it was done on the very cheap and in a hurry. Ballyhoo needed a live album to sell at their gigs (popular demand, don't you know) and were due to do a stint at the Rand Easter Show the year the album was recorded - they had to get the record in and out of production in a hurry so didn't have time for the niceties of redesigning the sleeve. Really awful, I agree. Still, nice to know my husband's chest is in some 200,000 homes, if not more. VIRGINIA IRVING |
