LESLEY CHASE
Lesley Chase is a broadcaster, actress, writer and teacher who is passionate about all forms of media. She began working in radio in 1995 with an introduction to student radio station RMR (Rhodes Music Radio) while studying journalism in Grahamstown. At RMR she worked as a newsreader, producer, talk-show host, marketing communications manager and events manager. She left Rhodes University with a BA Honours degree in Drama, and in 2002 achieved a PGCE Diploma teaching qualification.
Since 1998 Lesley has worked in film and television production, both behind and in front of the camera. She has appeared in several commercials as well as the series "Jozi Streets' for e-tv. Lesley also did a year-long stint in corporate marketing communications for a 5-star hotel, and today she finds time to do voice and speech training in between teaching budding young actors the tools of the trade. She is currently writing freelance for various magazines, and torturing herself by writing a debut novel.
Lesley specialises in arts, culture and entertainment journalism, especially film and theatre. She is an avid reader and in her spare time corrects poor spelling on restaurant menus.
Lesley joined Radio Today in November 2005.
