Various artists - The Full Monty (Soundtrack). I've played this a half a dozen times in the last few days since seeing the movie, and can't seem to wipe the grin off my face each time I play it -- all I can see is Gaz, Dave and the boys in their jocks, practising their wiggles! Anne Dudley, a musician, composer, arranger and producer was brought on board to set the music style for the movie, having already worked with the likes of Frankie Goes to Hollywood and ABC (one of my all time favourites). She got Tom Jones to rerecord Randy Newman's 'You Can Leave Your Hat On' especially for 'The Full Monty'. The oldies bring back memories for me, especially 'Rock & Roll, Part 2' by Gary Glitter, and 'Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)' by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel. Anyway, there's a few more disco ditties from the '70s and just for good measure they added M People's 'Moving On Up' - all 5:29 mins of it - which has to be one of the best hits of the '90s. And the instrumental tracks will get you humming too. So, if after reading this you're tempted to get the CD be warned, do not, I repeat, do not attempt anything serious or which restricts movement whilst playing this CD -- you could end up doing yourself irreparable harm.
